As the World Turns …

summerRecap Leaves are dropping, the geese are going, the light is changing, and the evening air is crisp and cool.  But, before we officially welcome winter back to the valley, by revving up the wood stove and cranking up the heat, we wish to reflect on what has been a banner summer season for The Landgrove Inn, kicking off with the Fourth of July weekend. The weather cooperated for a change, providing a perfect seasonal backdrop for the town’s quintessentially-American softball game, eclectic town parade, sumptuous pot luck supper, and impressive fireworks display.

Next came nuptials for Jeff & Monique, Anna & Shawn, Andrew & Molly, Max & Matilda; the Panzetta/Molloy, Grayson and Abernethy reunuions, our second locals’ summer square dance, our fourth Chocolate & Cheese Festival topping over 1,000 attendees, the 25th anniversary reunion of Barbara Seuling’s Children’s Writing Seminar, and 9 creative arts workshops with nationally-renowned new instructors Qiang Huang (“The Basics of Oil Painting”), and Kathy Anderson (“Painting the Chaos In the Garden”); both scheduled to return by popular demand.

Of course, all of these events are in addition to a steady flow of houseguests, old and new, here to simply enjoy the natural beauty of the lovely landscape we inhabit and share.  Please accept our sincere thanks to all who help to make The Landgrove Inn a truly unique venue to visit any time of the year.

Katie's New Soup Menu Addition
