A spectacular holiday season...

Christmas DinnerDespite the recent warm spell, it was another “White Christmas” here at the Landgrove Inn both figuratively and in reality. The whole town converged on the Inn on Christmas Eve for our annual Open House Holiday Party, and Christmas Day saw the Inn bustling with activity to celebrate the holiday in style!

New Year’s Eve was a spectacular event as Maureen & I spent our 10th year with the Smith family from Darien, CT. We rang 2012 in with ample parts of celebration and hope.

and great hopes for 2012

This year promises to have even more exciting new programs. We are continuing to expand the number and range of activities in the InView Arts Center . In addition to our art and writing classes we are introducing a range of performances and the opportunity to use the InView Art Center facilities as your own art studio.

Improv Night “Dumb Kids in the Back”

Dumb KidsJoin us for an evening of Improv with the northeast’s hottest improve troupe, “Dumb Kids in the Back”. Get set for an irreverent, no holds barred evening of laughter as the kids from West Orange, New Jersey bring their show on the road. You remember them. They sat in the back of the class and made you laugh till you cried. Now they’re front and center, but they’ll still make you cry laughing!

Special weekend packages available. Call The Landgrove Inn for details.

Two new InView Center workshops announced

TangoThe Art of Argentine Tango Dancing has undergone a big revival over the last few years, but there is no more sensuous discipline of the art than Argentine Tango. Spend the weekend immersed in Argentine culture as you learn the techniques of Argentine Tango from Gerd Hirschmann & Judith Schwartz that will have you and your partner gliding across the floor, eyes closed tight, the envy of all onlookers. Executive Chef Katie Schneider will entice you with some Argentine specialties, and we’ll sample some of Argentina’s best wines. If you promised yourself to try one new thing this year, try this!

Ted NuttalTed Nuttall returns by popular demand for a 3 day workshop in “Watercolor Portraits”. This portrait master enthralled a packed class last year with his easy approachable teaching style and his ability to bring excitement to his painting. Ted has a unique way of making figures seem less intimidating and challenging than you might have thought. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn the techniques of figure painting from one of its most respected practitioners.
